The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has received six million barrels of crude oil at its Single Point Mooring (SPM) systems located 25 kilometres from the shore. The refinery’s capability to load 2,900 trucks daily at its truck-loading gantries is set to impact the market substantially.

Dangote highlighted the adherence to strict specifications, with the refinery’s products conforming to Euro V standards. The refinery’s design complies with international emission norms, employing state-of-the-art technology to meet the requirements of the World Bank, US EPA, European emission norms, and Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) emission/effluent norms.

The statement further expressed gratitude to local and offshore bankers and financiers for their patience and steadfast support during challenging times. The proactive role played by the Government of Lagos State, led by Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in swiftly resolving challenges encountered during the project’s execution was also acknowledged.

Dangote concluded by expressing sincere appreciation to host communities and their traditional leaders for their patience, cooperation, and willingness to collaborate in finding resolutions to various challenges encountered during the construction of this monumental facility. The statement also acknowledged the invaluable contribution of the project staff to its success.
