2023: "Give us Igbo president OR" - Ohanaeze Chieftain warn Nigeria
Ohanaeze Ndigbo has lambasted the Minister for humanitarian affairs and disaster Management Sadiya Farouk over claims of cash transfers in the South Eastern region of Nigeria.
In a press release signed by the President General  Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide,  Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro  and Mazi Okwu Nnabuike  Secretary General  Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide it reads:
“Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide had described the verbal diahorea of one Sadiya Farouk, Minister for humanitarian affairs and disaster Management on her recent claims on disbursements of cash Transfer and Covid 19 Stimulus Packages to igbo land as a ruse, and unsubstantial claims to divert attention from forensic  investigations and influence the media with lies and insults against igbo Nation.
Igbo Youths acknowledged  that there are pockets of beneficiaries which represent one percent of the population of igbo Nation, We insists that igboland contrary to claims of Farouk that everyone had received cash transfer in igboland, igbos had been systematically neglected and raped of any Goodwill in form of Coronavirus Stimulus packages through Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, except for the timely intervention of South East Governors to fill the vacuum created by the deficiencies of Minister Farouk in denial of  privileges and rights of Igbos to get Support from her office.
OYC challenges Minister Farouk to Publish all the names of Beneficiaries from igboland with account numbers, Bvn and phone numbers in any National Daillies to substantiate her claims and for Igbo Youths to independently verify her claims, We have Watched videos of Minister Farouk frantic efforts to sort herself before the National Assembly on the disbursements of palliative care to Nigerians and it ended in Shame.
Igbo Youths had wondered for how long will Minister Farouk Continue to embarrass President Muhammadu Buhari before the international Community, and cajole his integrity and anti corruption Crusade, in advance society, Minister Farouk should have resigned or be sacked as a preventive measure to ensure that the Government is not disgraced before Nigerians and international Community.”
