Wike ban Churches from holding full Easter service

The Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has cancelled the permission he gave to churches to hold full Easter services.

 

This is coming after 48 hours the Governor asked the Christian Faithfuls to hold Full services In the state.

 

In a special Government Announcement By the Honourable Commissioner of Information Paulinus Nsirim The Governor said:

The Rivers State Government has cancelled the concession granted churches to hold Easter Church Services with their full congregations.

This decision was taken after due consultations with eminent clergy men, well-meaning Nigerians and civil society groups.

For the avoidance of doubt, churches should stick to the 50 persons per service to maintain social distancing.
