Umar Pariya, a close aide of Atiku Abubakar, presidential Candidate of the People Democratic Party PDP, in the last General Election is dead.
Pariya served Atiku during his time as Vice-President and has remained in his close circles.
He died in Dubai, where Atiku himself has been since April. The cause of his death is yet unknown.
The news of the death of the former presidential aide was announced by Yakubu Dogara, the former House of Representatives Speaker.
He tweeted, “I received with shock the sad news of the sudden death of Alhaji Umar Pariya. Alh Pariya was an exceptionally gifted and energetic man who pursued with courage; causes that were larger than himself. Humility was his trademark and loyalty his seal.
“I extend my heartfelt condolences to his immediate family & pray God to grant them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. May his soul rest in perfect peace. I also specially condole with our leader, His Excellency former Vice President, Alhaji

Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the last election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has reacted to The death of his aide,Umar Pariya.
Reports that Umar Pariya, a close aide of Atiku Abubakar died in Dubai, where Atiku himself has been since April.
The cause of his death is still unknown.

Reacting, Atiku on his Twitter page expressed sadness over the incident.
He wrote: “Umar Pariya was much more than a longstanding aide to me; he was incredibly loyal and qualified as a member of my family. He will be missed.
“May Allah comfort his family, forgive his sins and grant him AlJannah Firdaus. Amen.
