The Premier League has expressed its commendation for the Super Eagles’ players following their achievement of reaching the final of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON). This accomplishment came after a compelling victory over South Africa in the semi-final clash on Wednesday.

In the 65th minute of the game, Jose Peseiro’s team took the lead when William Troost-Ekong successfully converted a penalty earned by Victor Osimhen. However, the dramatic turn of events saw Teboho Mokoena equalize for Bafana Bafana through a spot kick in the 90th minute. The match ultimately culminated in a 4-2 penalty shootout victory for Nigeria at Stade Bouake in Ivory Coast, securing their spot in the final against the host country.

The showdown is scheduled on Sunday at the Allassane Quattarra Stadium in Abidjan at 21:00 WAT.
