Senator representing Abia-South Senatorial District of Abia State Enyinnaya Abaribe has berated Garba Shehu, Spokeperson of Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari.
Senator Abaribe agreed to speak explicitly to Garba Shehu while speaking as he was being questioned on Channels Television, after he reportedly claimed that Enyinnaya Abaribe stood surety for the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, whom he considered as a thief.
Responding senator Abaribes said “I find this accusation very funny, the presidency always gets personal when critical issues are discussed ”
He made it clear to him that a judge said a senator was expected to stand for Nnamdi Kanu as a surety and he(Abaribe) did.
“A court of law demanded that a senator must stand as surety for Nnamdi Kanu and I volunteered then the same government sent soldiers to go after him and he escaped to save his life.”
“What even makes Nnamdi Kanu a criminal? Carrying flags and demanding to have your own country does not make one criminal.”
“The criminals are the ones in the bushes carrying AK 47 and kidnapping and killing Nigerians.”
On many occasions, Senator Abaribe has shown that he is a courageous and articulate guy who is never ashamed to speak out, and that is why many Nigerians love him.
