A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has sent out an urgent SOS to President Muhammadu Buhari and the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, to come to his aid and protect him.

Eze, a former Spokesperson of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party, nPDP accused Senator representing Rivers South East, Magnus Abe of threatening to kill him and wipe out his family.

Eze has vehemently campaigned against Senator Abe in the State.

His statement added, “Senator Magnus Abe has been angry that I exposed how he teamed up with elements within and outside Rivers State to ensure that APC in Rivers state did not field a candidate in the just concluded general elections and how he has ceaselessly castigated and impugned the personality of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, the immediate past Governor of Rivers state and the incumbent Minster of Transportation.

“This is the same man who happened to be his benefactor and mentor. I have been severally threatened by the Senator and his boys over my defense of the Minster and my exposing their plots against him by teaming up with PDP elements within and outside Rivers State to promote the candidates of PDP in the last elections including even the presidential ambition of Atiku Abubakar all because of a desperate hope of making Atiku’s ministerial cabinet.

“Senator Abe and his group got more incensed by the recent press statement by me, exposing how he (Abe) is assisting Governor Wike of Rivers state to recruit other Nigerians to malign and destroy the person of the Minster of Transportation so that he will not be re-nominated by President Buhari in his second term, an exercise in futility.

“Abe and his cronies have used Facebook and other social media platforms to cast aspersions on my person and even issued threatening press statements both in the past and now in a recent one reporting me to the NWC of APC titled, ‘The Urgent Need For The National Working Committee (NWC) Of The All Progressives Congress (APC) To Call Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, The Political Grifter And His Sponsor, The Transportation Minister To Order’, issued by a phony visionless group ironically named Rivers State APC Visionary Media Team on behalf of Abe.

“To expose their intentions, the group, through one Augustine, an associate of Senator Magnus Abe and speaking for his cohorts, called me on Saturday in morning with celll number 08183636808 to say that they have set up a militia committee to monitor and kill me and all members of my family for what I am writing about their principal, Senator Abe.

“Using his exact words he said ‘you can no longer run because wherever you are we will fish you out and deal with you accordingly. We have taken enough of your madness. You may wish to report this to the IGP but he can’t secure or save you. You will know why we are called the Vultures.’

“I don’t know what I did to warrant this type of threat, apart from exposing the plots by Abe on Amaechi. I am standing against his dirty politics of destroying APC in Rivers State.

“Sadly and dubiously, he wants to use the APC platform he and his cohorts have destroyed to lobby for a ministerial position or any other position within the President Buhari led APC government, the same party he worked against during both polls. I can’t stand such a horrible and devious man. Nobody should.

“Though, I have reported this issue to the Rivers State Police Command appealing to them that not minding that as much as my life and that of members of my family are in the hands of God to see what they can do to ascertain why Abe and his cohorts want to kill me and eliminate my entire family.

He also highlighted that should anything happen to him or any member of his family, the Police Command should do the needful by arresting Abe to explain why we should be harmed for standing by a man (Amaechi) who made him politically.

Eze not minding reporting this issue, appealed to both Buhari and Mohammed, to assist to investigate and secure his life and that of his family before any harm is done to them, “considering the security challenges in Rivers state and the nature of the men we are dealing with.”
