Ramadan Security Assurance: Egbetokun Encourages Peace Among Muslims

As the sacred month of Ramadan commences, Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has reaffirmed the dedication of Nigerians to safeguarding the safety, security, and welfare of all citizens.

“The Police, as an establishment, acknowledges the significance of honoring religious practices and cultural customs, along with the imperative to foster principles of tolerance, comprehension, and unity within our diverse society,” stated the IGP.

According to a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, IGP Egbetokun was quoted as “encouraging all Muslim Ummah to embody the spirit of compassion, generosity, and forgiveness that characterizes Ramadan.”

He urged unity among all, advocating for mutual support, cultivating harmony, and forging stronger bonds of friendship and collaboration during the holy month and beyond.

He added, “While urging members of the public to embrace the concept of community policing, the Inspector-General of Police implores Nigerians to bolster the NPF’s endeavors in upholding peace and order throughout the month of Ramadan.”

The IGP equally implored the Muslim Ummah to value Ramadan’s blessings and endeavour to make positive contributions to the lives of others.

Furthermore, IGP Egbetokun “conveyed the warmest greetings from the Nigeria Police Force to all Muslim Ummah across the country during the Ramadan season, a period of introspection, spiritual advancement, and communal solidarity which carries profound significance for millions of Muslim faithful worldwide.”
