The Nigerian Army has recovered the corpses of four soldiers killed by Eastern Security Network in Orlu, Imo State.

AUTHENTIC NEWS GIANT learnt from a senior military officer whos saidthe military vehicle that was damaged during the attack had also been recovered.

AUTHENTIC NEWS GIANT had earlier reported Nigerian Troops on Monday nabbed 20 innocent members of public labelling them members Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The Nigerian troops in a joint operation involving the Army, Air Force and the Police sustained raid operation in the axis, after the killing of four soldiers who were on survey mission in the Orlu area.

The ESN operatives had ambushed and killed the soldiers who were on the escort of the Director Civil Affairs, Brigadier General HE Nzan and his team on inspection of the Civil-Military Project at Nkwerre. They also took away weapons and a vehicle belonging to the troops.

Meanwhile the The Nigerian Army  has denied it recovered the corpses of four soldiers allegedly killed by members of the pro-Biafra group, IPOB, in Orlu, Imo State.

 

Reacting to the report credited to a senior military officer, the Army Public Relations Officer of 34 Artillery Brigade Obinze, Lt Babatunde Zubairu, said there was no truth in the report

He said: “I am not aware of the report, it is not true.”

Army spokesman maintained he was not aware of the killings.
