Nigeria to Join the World to Experience Partial Lunar Eclipse

Nigeria lunar Eclipse 2019

Nigeria will join the rest of the World to Experience and View the Partial Lunar Eclipse 2019

The only thing you need to watch a lunar eclipse is clear skies. It’s just like looking at any other Full Moon. You don’t need any special equipment, and it will not hurt your eyes. Bring out the telescope or binoculars if you have them.

Only on a Full Moon night; Lunar eclipses can take place only during a Full Moon when the Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon and blocks the Sun’s rays from directly reaching the Moon. During a partial lunar eclipse, the Sun, Earth, and Moon are imperfectly aligned such that only some parts of the Moon’s visible surface pass through the umbra, the dark part of the Earth’s shadow.

Lunar eclipses are visible from everywhere on Earth where the Moon is above the horizon. From some places, the entire eclipse will be visible, while in other areas, the Moon will rise or set during the eclipse.
