Unfortunately, a really sad accident happened in Kebbi State. About eleven onion traders from Goronyo, Sokoto State lost their lives. They were heading to Niger State, carrying bags of onions, beans, six motorcycles, and sixty-five passengers.
The tragedy struck in the Koko/Besse local government area of Kebbi state. The front part of the truck somehow separated from the rest, sending it off the road into a nearby bush. This awful crash resulted in the deaths of eleven people, and many others got hurt. They were quickly taken to the hospital.
The Kebbi State Police spokesperson, SP Nafiu Abubakar, shared that as soon as they got the news, a team of traffic police rushed to the accident spot. The injured were taken to the hospital, where a doctor sadly confirmed the loss of 11 lives.
CP Chris had a strong message for drivers – he urged them to slow down and not overload their vehicles. Safety first, he emphasized. He expressed deep sympathy for the families of those who passed away and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. It’s a tough time, and our hearts go out to everyone affected by this terrible accident.
