Joint Internal Security agents fires at Revolution Now Activists (Photos)

Activists have defied the Federal Government order banning them from holding the #RevolutionNow protest called by the publisher of Sahara Reporters, Mr. Omoyele Sowore.

Sowore, who was arrested on Saturday by operatives of the Department of State Services on account of the then scheduled protest, was the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress in the February 2019 presidential election

Correspondents reports that security agents under the aegis of OP MESA, a joint Internal Security Operational platform made up of the Army, the Navy and the Air Force, had surrounded the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, in the early hours of Monday, preventing people from entering the public structure.

Reporters also narrated that the security agents fired teargas at the unarmed protesters, who sang revolutionary songs.

He also reported that the security agents fired shots.

As of the time of filing this report, some casualty has been reported.

We also got photo footage from other media agencies.
