Invading Nnamdi Kanu’s Home will cause Civil Disobedience ahead of Parents Burial

The continued invasion of the home of Nnamdi Kanu the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB will spur up Civil disobedience in the South East.

A pan-Igbo group, Igbo National Council (INC), has accused the Nigerian military hierarchy of plotting to provoke civil disobedience within the South East of the country with the ongoing invasion of the ancestral home of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

The invasion is coming just two weeks to the burial of the father of the IPOB leader.

In a statement issued on Tuesday in Owerri by the president of the INC, Chilos Godsent, the group described the invasion as “unlawful, unwarranted and uncomfortable”.

It views the unprovoked action of the Nigerian military as an assault and war on the entire Igbo Nation.

The statement called on the federal government to call on the military authority to order “before they provoke civil disobedience in the entire eastern region of Nigeria.

“INC, therefore, calls on the Muhammadu Buhari led Federal government to order the Nigeria military to withdraw from this unwarranted invasion of Nnamdi Kanu”s ancestral home as the action amounts to gross violation of the fundamental rights of Nnamdi Kanu”s family and the entire people of the community.

“We urge the Nigerian military to go and fight the Boko Haram insurgency and Herdsmen that are terrorizing, adopting and killing innocent Nigerians along the Kogi – Abuja highway and the Lagos – Ibadan express way on daily basis.

The INC said it might be compelled to sue the Nigeria military for damages as a result of the psychological warfare against the people of the Abia State.
