Ever since the extra-ordinary rendition of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader or should we say the supreme leader of Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, the leadership headed by Chika Edoziem had come under serious attacks.
The Directorate of State (DOS) of IPOB, since the rendition of Kanu in Kenya which started late June, has been battling with leadership crisis as diaspora-based, Chika Edoziem tried to steady the seemingly rudderless ship of the group.
It all started with allegation of who sold out Kanu to a thickened war against the structures put in place by Nnamdi Kanu when he was free.
The Internal Forces which is led by a woman in the diaspora, Nelly Ofeogbu and a clique of Women that call themselves Umuada have grossly be gaining ground with Simon Ekpa and Nsima leading the media and they are now forming a parallel leadership the Directorate of Emissary (DOE).
While some IPOB members feels that Nigeria state that “kidnapped” their leader Nnamdi Kanu should be boiling in war now but the IPOB leadership now headed by Chika Edoziem, the DOS directorate of state has continue to go the way of Peaceful Agitation which has always being the IPOB mantra. The Internal Forces are championing for Eastern Security Network ESN to begin destruction of Nigeria properties i.e sending them out of the forests but the Chika Edoziem led leadership has pledge that those “gallant men should continue remain in the bushes as these was the reason Nnamdi Kanu formed them”.
The Sit at home Cancellation has not always went well with these Internal Forces as they see the DOS and it’s leadership as group of compromised bigots who has sold out Nnamdi Kanu to the Nigeria state.
The members of the DOS has continue to explain that Sit at home is not their main tool in freeing Mazi Nnamdi Kanu but a pressure tool against the Nigeria Government, Igbo leaders and others but these forces want “ACTIONS”.
Recall that the IPOB DOS had ordered for a sit at home during the Anambra election but it was called of a day to the election, these they said Igbo leaders, Christians leaders in the South East had reached out to them and seek political solution and not quite long they all visited the Nigeria President pleading for the release of their son (Nnamdi Kanu).
While DOS continue to use diplomatic means to release Nnamdi Kanu, the Simon Ekpa and Nelly Ofeogbu forces are demanding for ACTIONS as to these they have formed a parallel Leadership with the name “IPOB Directorate of Emissary DOE” while Chika Edoziem and Emma Powerful remain mute the plot for the leadership thicken in the cloud and rains imminent.
Simon Ekpa who once believed in the DOS has now embarked on attack spray on Chika Edoziem and members of the DOS, Ekpa was once offered a slot in Radio Biafra but he was rejected it after failing to meet the requirements set up already to be able to anchor programmmes.
Nnamdi Kanu had continue to preach peace but these forces are not giving ears, of the recent Nnamdi Kanu said ” Do not yield to Satan’s enticements, rather, stand firm for truth. He said, ‘I’m DOS and DOS is me’. Finally he assured Biafrans and lovers of freedom that Elohim is in full control.
