Independence Day: FG announces Tuesday public holiday

The Federal Government has pronounced Tuesday, Oct.1, as Public Holiday to stamp Nigeria’s 59th Independence Anniversary.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Mrs Georgina Ehuriah, reported this in an announcement on Wednesday in Abuja.

She said the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola made the affirmation in the interest of the national government.

The Minister praised Nigerians at home and abroad on the remembrance of the current year’s commemoration.

He guaranteed residents of government’s pledge to end the present spate of instability in the nation.

As indicated by him, harmony and security are fundamental conditions for the advancement of any country.

Aregbesola, hence, approached Nigerians to copy the country’s establishing fathers in their affection for mother country.

He helped Nigerians to remember the monstrous potential the nation was invested with, and guaranteed that with duty, ” we can move the nation to the following degree of financial improvement.”

“As Nigerians, we ought to consistently recollect that there is promise for our nation and that we are honored with both human and characteristic assets, the travel industry , social decent variety, caring soul of solidarity and love for each other.

“Just as fortified fellowship, which are all potential we should abuse in the years ahead to make Nigeria the country we had always wanted,” he said.

Aregbesola charged all Nigerians to help the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration in its admitted assurance to fabricate a safe, financially suitable and debasement free country, in accordance with the fantasy of the nation’s establishing fathers.

The Minister wished all Nigerians an upbeat Independence Anniversary.
