The tribunal resumed hearing on Monday with HDP opening its case challenging the election of President Buhari by calling its first witness Mr. Yusuf Ibrahim who testified in support of the party’s claim

Counsel to the HDP called a witness said have been subpoenaed and later withdrew following his inability to interact and get his written deposition.

The petitioners have another two days each to respond to the respondents’ addresses if they so which. The court held that everything should be completed by the 27th of July.

While on the other hand, counsel to President Buhari,  Mr. Yusuf Ali says he will rely on the case of the HDP and will apply for a date for the final address in the case.

The court, has however, accepted the position of the party and ordered the petitioners to file their final address within two days.

The case has been adjourned till August 5, 2019, for parties to adopt to their final addresses.
