Morgan had accused Okoye of maltreating her while under his label, and for also taking over her Vevo accounts.

But, Okoye, responding, said he never stopped Morgan from using her name but only took over her Vevo account because she owed him N40million.

He went ahead to release the contract he signed with, which has led to a backlash from Nigerians.

Some Nigerians took to their Twitter page accusing Morgan of being a ‘Clout chaser’.

However, Morgan in an Instagram session on Tuesday night, said she did not reveal her past to gain sympathy.

According to her, she would have made her revelation years ago if that was her intention.

“I did not talk about Jude Okoye and my past because I want sympathy from Nigerians.

“People saying I came out because of sympathy are wrong, this thing happened four years ago. If I wanted sympathy I would have changed my name back then and come out crying,” she said.

“The agreement with Okoye was like a loan, If he invested N50m in me, I was to pay back that N50m before we started sharing 50/50 formula from the music or video,” she added.

Morgan added that she can make peace with Okoye but will never do that with her former manager, Joy Thongo.

According to her, “I can meet up with Okoye and settle the differences but never with Joy Thongo. Joy has no right to say all she said because she used me and I feel she also used Jude.

“I can make peace with him but no Thongo. The important thing now is to move on and make music.”

Jude Okoye Reacts To Cynthia Morgan And May D’s Allegations

Jude Okoye has responded to the allegations made against him by Cynthia Morgan and May D.

In a live interview with Instagram influencer Tunde Ednut,, Jude Okoye addressed some of the allegations made against him by the dancehall singer who accused him of shipwrecking her music career.

Her Stage Name And Social Media Accounts

Cynthia Morgan who now goes by the stage name Madrina alleged that she was not allowed to use her stage name and that she no longer had access to her social media accounts following her exit from Jude Okoye’s Northside Records.

Speaking to Tunde on the issue, Okoye denied the claim.

“I never took that name from her. I don’t have that power.”

Okoye added the songstress still had access to her social media account two years after leaving the label.

Her Contract With Northside Records

Jude stated that the contract Cynthia Morgan had with him (Northside Records) expired in 2017 when responding to a question on if Cynthia Morgan was free.

Jude affirmed that Morgan indeed owed him over 40 million naira

During the course of the interview, he said that he will make the contract available to the public.

Promotions

Cynthia claimed that Jude was not promoting her.

“Why are people not asking questions; how come this girl has been down this so long and not even one colleague came up to her rescue? Not rescue as in giving her money or sponsoring her. Rescue as in identifying with her.”

He said she burned all the bridges he built for her and stated Cynthia Morgan once questioned his value in her life.

On May D

Jude Okoye also addressed the allegations made by Akinmayokun Awodumila better known by the stage name May D. Following the allegations by Morgan, May D whose brief stint with the defunct PSqaure ended in 2012, stated that while he was with the label he was poorly treated. He claimed that he slept on a carton in the boy’s quarters which he shared with their driver.

In his reaction to the allegation, Jude said he spent over a hundred thousand dollars on May D. According to Jude, trouble began after he gave May D a contract and the singer came back after 2 weeks stating that there were no incentives in the contract.

Jude said May D had demanded a car and an apartment in Lekki despite the fact that the singer was still up-and-coming and had not done any shows.

On Psquare

Jude also chipped in on the bad blood between him and Peter. He stated that the only reason he decided to speak up on the Cynthia Morgan allegations was because Peter had involved himself.

Jude Okoye stated that the reason PSquare broke up was because Peter didn’t want his (Jude) involvement in the group. When asked if he could bring back the group together again, Jude said no and that “there is nothing humanly possible for me to do to bring Psquare back”.

Cynthia Morgan reveals battle with depression, what Jude Okoye did to her

Cynthia Morgan has broken silence on her travail with the CEO of her former record label ‘Northside Records’, Jude Okoye.

In an Instagram live session on Saturday, the dancehall star who has not released songs for a while recalled how she lost her stage name, “Cynthia Morgan”, her VEVO account, royalties, Instagram account and other things due to the contract she signed with Jude Okoye.

She revealed that she became depressed after her fallout with Jude Okoye of Northside Entertainment but did not go public about her issues.

She said: “Jude Okoye took over my VEVO account, made me stop using Cynthia Morgan as a stage name because he claimed I did not pay him all the money spent on producing my videos.

“I would have won if I battled him back then but I felt it was not necessary. I paid my accommodation back then, the only thing he did for me was shoot videos that he did not even promote.

“I fell ill in December 2018 and it lasted for like six months. I became depressed because I felt I was not where I needed to be.

Morgan, who has changed her name to Madrina revealed how the process of exiting Northside Entertainment led to her battle with depression and relocation to Benin to save cost for treatment of an undisclosed illness that almost took her life.

On why she didn’t open up at that time, she said she believed it was a phase of life she would surmount.

She admitted that some of her colleagues in the music industry reached out to her, but she didn’t reveal details because she was not ready to get back to singing then.

The singer, however, disclosed that she is now open to partnership in the music industry for a comeback but doesn’t want to sign under a label anymore.

Nigeria female singer, Cynthia Morgan had taken to her Instagram story on Saturday narrating how she lost her music career to Jude Okoye due to the contract she signed.

Reacting, Peter Okoye on his Twitter page reminded Morgan of how she rejected the contract he gave her, after his brothers portrayed him as the evil one.

Peter, further revealed that he left P-square, cut off the relationship with his elder brother and twin brother 3 years ago because he wanted his freedom and not for fame or power as widely reported.

He, however advised Morgan not to relent, but to pursue her music career despite all odds.

His tweet reads: “My dear Cynthia Morgan, the decision I made three years ago was never about the fame, money or power! It was for my FREEDOM!

“Sad you rejected the contract I gave you because they made you see me like the bad egg. I pray you understand that God has a purpose for everything. Never give up.

He added that the truth will surely prevail while he made reference to those who called him out for leaving P-square group few years ago.

“Some people thought I was stupid when I made the right decision years ago. My dear C Morgan! it’s never too late to be what you might have been. God will surely see you through and carry you through the storm,” he said.

“The Truth shall prevail. Keep believing,” his tweet added.
