Nigeria Senator representing Borno south, Ali Ndume has been granted bail by a federal high court sitting in Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria.
Ali Ndume was ordered to be remanded in Kuje Correctional Centre, Abuja for failing to produce former Chairman, defunct Pension Reformed Task Team (PRTT), Abdulrashed Maina, for who he stood surety.
Ali Ndume was immediately remanded in the prison custody after the court found that Maina has jumped bail.
In a ruling on Monday Justice Okon Abang granted the application for bail pending appeal, filed by Maina.

Justice Abang said he was exercising the court’s discretionary power in favour of Ndume based on his good conduct in the course of the trial of Maina, who is being prosecuted for allegedly laundering about N2billion.
