The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari assured him of retaining his place as Minister in the midst of the dissolution of the earlier cabinet
Amaechi made this disclosure all through a reception after his swearing-in on Wednesday.
The former Governor of Rivers State was among Ministers inaugurated yesterday by Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Speaking in the midst of the reception in his honour, Amaechi said: “The President suggested me the similar week cabinet was dissolved that I’ll return you to cabinet
“I saved it a secret nevertheless I may need launched to you. So all those who had been working helter-skelter, we knew that God would not allow them to have their method.”
Amaechi, who appreciated God for his reappointment, said he would make sure that the ministry performs optimally to please the President and Nigerians at large.
“We are grateful to God for the prospect to serve as soon as extra. I perceive how quite a lot of you had been frightened that we would not get the appointment,” he said.
