Nnamdi Kanu, Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB has said that Betrayal is in the DNA of Every Black African.
Nnamdi Kanu made this disclosure while telling the story of Captain Isidore Noel Thomas Sankara.
In an article he tittled ” BETRAYAL IS IN THE DNA OF EVERY BLACK AFRICAN, YOU NEED STRONG WILL POWER TO OVERCOME YOURS” it reads:
‘Captain Isidore Noel Thomas Sankara and Dr Michael Okpara before him, proved that in Africa there were a few upright men. I call Thomas Sankara the best of the very best because he accomplished the miraculous transformation of his country as a head of state. Had Dr Michael Okpara weaved his economic miracle as the head of state of Nigga-eria, he too would have been betrayed and assassinated in office.’
‘Sankara seized power in 1983 in a popular coup at the age of 33. His goal was to eliminate corruption and end French neo-colonialism that impoverished his nation which he accomplished in less than 3 years.’
‘In less than 4 years (1983-87), Thomas Sankara built 350 schools, roads, railways without foreign aid. He increased literacy rate by 60%. He banned forced marriages. He gave land to the poor and made Burkina Faso a net exporter of food. He opposed foreign aid, saying that “he who feeds you, controls you.” He drove out French imperialism & withdrew Burkina Faso from IMF.’

‘He changed the name of his country from the name of a river, Upper Volta, after the Volta River to Burkina Faso (meaning Land of Upright Men). The Zoo is still answering to the colonial name Nigga-area.’
‘His life was cut short by his own friend and second in command. He was betrayed and assassinated at the age of 37 on 15th October 1987 by his second in command Blaise Campaore. They grew up together but the then French Government convinced his personal friend that he trusted with his life, a fellow black ‘African, to kill his own friend and head of state.
