The Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU has now finally agree to call of the Eight Months Strike of 2020.
The Strike which had grounded academic activities in Nigeria is now a history .
ASUU agreed to called of the strike following a meeting with the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The meeting which lasted for about 10 hours had the federal government increased its offer to the union to N70bn.
The Nigeria government agreed to exempt university workers from the new Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System.

The government also agreed to pay all outstanding salaries with the old payment system.
Suspending the strike, ASUU apologize for the inconveniences caused to parents and students.
