Unidentified gunmen have murdered an Assistant Director attached to the State House, Laetitia Naankang Dagan in Abuja on Tuesday.
Her death was confirmed by Permanent Secretary, State House, Abuja, Jalal Arabi, AUTHENTIC learnt
Arabi described the killing of Dagan, Assistant Director of Administration in the State House, as “a painful loss, not only to her immediate family, but also the entire State House.”
47-year Ms. Dagan from Plateau State, worked in her office on Monday till 8pm, but by 11pm, she was gruesomely murdered in her apartment by unknown persons in FCT.
“We all share in your grief and pains, but be consoled by the fact that she lived a good life and contributed her best to the services of her nation.”
The permanent secretary also expressed confidence that the police will fish out Dagan’s killers and that “the law will take its course.”
The official’s death is the latest of the numerous killings being recorded in various parts of the country, including the federal capital territory.
A recent report by SBM Intelligence indicated that the nation’s capital has suffered 23 attacks which have led to the deaths of 27 persons in the last one year.
