The Acting Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC Professor Kemebradikumo Daniel Pondei has fainted right in his seat while testifying before he house investigative hearing at the National Assembly.

Acting MD of NDDC, Mr Pondei has been evacuated from the House of Representatives committee hearing room for medical attention.

The house committee had adjourned the public hearing by 30 minutes to resume at 1.35pm following the health emergency involving professor Pondei.

Pondei appeared before the panel last Thursday, but he stormed out of the session after he accused Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, chairman of the NDDC house committee of complicity in the fraud at the agency.

He said the chairman cannot preside over a case that he is an accused.

Tunji-Ojo withdrew from the session on Monday.

Godswill Akpabio, minister of Niger Delta affairs, is still expected to testify before the panel.

The panel is investigating the alleged mismanagement of N81.5 billion by the interim management of the NDDC led by Pondei.
